Judith E. (Patterson) Kromer-Broz was born January 17, 1940 in Sacramento, California.
When Judy was 8 years old, the family moved the Buffalo, South Dakota. On the ranch, Judy would develop her love for animals and her love of horse-back riding.
In 1957, Judy would be the first Rodeo Queen in Buffalo, South Dakota.
The family then moved to Lead, South Dakota where Judy graduated from Lead High School in 1958.
After high school, Judy moved to San Diego, California to go to secretarial school, but ended up marrying her old sweetheart, Dean Kromer.
Dean and Judy moved to Chadron, Nebraska where Dean attended college and Judy started a family and worked part-time as a bank teller. Together, they raised two children; Janeen born May 13, 1960 and Michael, born January 22, 1963.
Later, the family moved to Omaha, Nebraska where Dean taught school and Judy continued to work as a bank teller.
After a move to Overland Park, KS, Dean went to work for General Motors and Judy began working for Don Stein Buick.
Dean and Judy then started Watts Mill Automotive. Eventually, Dean and Judy divorced, and she found a new love and occupation in selling real estate.
She started at A.J. Lang in Olathe, and spent the next 37 years selling houses. She loved this work and the many people she met while pursuing her career.
Judy loved her family, cooking (which she was very good at), skiing with her grandsons and taking them on R.V. trips and vacations. The family enjoyed many summers on the boat at Lake of the Ozarks.
Judy never met a person she did not like and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Helen Patterson, and her brother James Patterson.
She is survived by her sister Gene (Patterson) Shuey of Olathe, her children Janeen Kromer of Hillsdale, Michael Kromer of Lenexa, four grandsons, three great-grandchildren, and her sister Debbie Smith.
