Juanita Helen Felch (Hutton) McCreight, Spring Hill, KS passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023

Juanita was born October 27, 1929, in Cross Creek Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania to C. Herbert and Helen Felch Hutton. While growing up on the farm with her parents she spent time with her two brothers: Dewy Hutton(deceased) (Betty deceased) and Donald (deceased) (Pat still living) Hutton, Clearwater, FL, working on the farm raising livestock and working in the garden. She often spent time with her two aunts who lived in the area, Dorthy deceased (Edwin deceased) Smith and Luella Felch deceased.

Jaunita graduated high school in 1947 and then attended Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA 1947-1948 and then Pen Commercial College, 1950 where she attained her degree in Secretarial and Accounting.

Her work life began as a church secretary. Her last employment before being married was working as director of Christian Education, secretary for Wallace Memorial Church, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She continued to work in the church throughout her life as a secretary, Sunday school teacher, ladies group leader and many other duties.

Juanita then met and married Rev. Clarence William McCreight (deceased 7/18/2000) April 15, 1966, who was a widower with four children: Mary Means (deceased) (Louis) Davenport, IA; John McCreight (deceased) (Kathy deceased); James McCreight (Christine deceased), Davenport, IA; Margaret (Roger) Schutte, Canon City, CO. Juanita and Clarence then had three children: Primalea (stillborn 1966); David C. McCreight (Beth), Spring Hill, KS; Robert N. McCreight (Marisa), Jewell, KS.

Grandma Nita cared for and enjoyed her 14 Grandchildren/Step: Jay, Jeff, Anne (deceased), James, Paul, Martha, Adam, Sarah, Caitlynn, William, Nicholas, Ryne, Rebecca, and Michael and ten Great Grandchildren/Step Maria, Kevin, Hannah, Jackson, Noah, Finn, Addy, Emery, Owen, Asher, Edward.

Juanita volunteered in many Christian organizations, civic medical organization, and was a Scout leader. She was a member of 4H, Daughters of American Revolution (DAR), Federated Women's Club, Cub Scout Den Leader, Hospice, EMT, Inner City Girls' Club leader, and Volunteer Golden Living Center. Enjoyed traveling (49 states, Holyland, British Isles) gardening, and spending time at the YMCA.

She also enjoyed her dogs: Rags, Joe, Tippy, and Duke and many I can't recall.

Juanita joined the United Presbyterian Church of North America Oct 1940 and has served in many local church offices including as an elder, on Presbytery committees, and County Sunday School offices. She always spent time reading her bible, listening to radio ministries, talking with family and friends about her faith.

Juanita was always faithful in writing letters or calling family, she will be missed by all.
