Joyce Sola

Joyce D. Sola, 84, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away in her home on July 15, 2009, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Olathe, Kansas. Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of the Resurrection and burial at Mt. Olivet, Kansas City, Missouri. Donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her loving husband, Louis (Lou), of 68 years, and two sons, Vincent R. (Sandy) and Anthony L. (Linda). She was an adored Nana to seven grandchildren, Tony, Gretchen, Mike, Jim, Debbie, Eddie and Rick, and 13 great grandchildren, Kale, Kylie, Abby, Jake, Josh, Stephanie, Nick, Drew, Emily, Spencer, Joe, Sadi and Kaitlyn.

Joyce, along with Lou, enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing at La Fiesta, frequent trips to Las Vegas, and devoted many hours of loving care with her grandchildren who thought the world of their Nana.
