Joy Dee (McMillian) Collins, age 51, passed away February 7, 2011 at home in Olathe, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, 8201 Corporate Drive, Suite 1000, Landover, MD 20785.
Joy was born October 11, 1959 in Kansas City, Kansas to Hollis and Vera Mc Millian. She graduated from Piper High School in 1977, and went on to attend Area Vocational Technical School and graduated as an LPN. She was employed with the VA Hospital in Leavenworth most recently. Joy married Kevin Collins on February 14, 2009 and they made their home in Olathe.
She was a collector of Precious Moments figurines and dolls, and in her spare time she enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin, and her mother Vera "Chris" McMillian, her brothers John ( Sandy) and Jan (Kay) McMillian, sister Jean Chinn and several nieces and nephews. Joy was preceded in death by her father, Hollis , and her brother James.
