JOSHUA KYLE WALLACE
Joshua Kyle Wallace, 21, Kansas City, MO, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 14, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to K.C.A.I. Joshua Wallace Animation Scholarship c/o Kansas City Art Institute.
Joshua was born January 7, 1987 in Rapid City, South Dakota living in the Kansas City area most of his life. He was a 2004 graduate of Blue Valley Northwest High School. He was currently an Animation major at Kansas City Art Institute.
He leaves his mother; Deanna (Steve) Thomas, father; John (Terri) Wallace, paternal grandmother; Cleva Wallace, maternal grandparents; William and Sharon Frye, sister; Alyssa Wallace, step-brothers; Kasey and Ryan Wallace, uncle; Kendall Frye, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joshua enjoyed many activities with his family, but some of the most memorable times were the canoe and camping trips. He loved to sit around the campfire in the evening with friends, playing guitar and singing till the sun rose.
Joshua's passion for art, music and classic cars just touch the surface of the Joshua which his family knew so well. His kindness and pure heart touched many who knew him. That characteristic smile and charm, coupled with his sarcastic wit and ironic sense of humor defined an incredibly special young man.
