Joshua E. Gower, 39, of Hannibal, MO. passed Tues. March 31st, 2015 at
The University of Missouri Hospital.
Josh was born Aug. 30th, 1975 in Kansas City, MO to Fred and Colleen Gower. Josh attended Olathe Public Schools and graduated from Olathe South High School in 1994. He attended Kansas State University graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Milling Science. Upon graduation, Josh accepted employment with General Mills and was assigned to various locations throughout the country. His last position was Continuous Improvement Manager with General Mills in Hannibal, Missouri.
Josh was an avid K-State football fan but his true passion was the Kansas City Royals. He attended training camps, as many regular season games as possible, and most recently, the playoff games and the World Series. He shared his love for the Royals with his son, Luke, and never attended a game without him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Jennie Gower and Boyd and Cleota Larsen; brother-in-law, Jamie Eyberg; sister-in-law, Ann Eyberg.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Gower, and their son, Luke; his parents, Fred and Colleen Gower; sisters, Lindsay (Mike) Carter and Vanessa (Chris) Calcara; mother-in-law, Karen Eyberg (Ted); father-in-law, Bill Eyberg (Connie); sister-in-law, Jenna (Chris) Esquibel; brother-in-law, Craig Eyberg; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Kansas City Boys and Girls club RBI Program for youth baseball
