Josephine Anne Green relocated to her heavenly home on March 1, 2024.
A funeral service in her honor will take place at the Blue Valley Baptist Church (8925 W. 151st Overland Park, KS) on Thursday, March 7th. The visitation will be at 1 p.m. followed by the memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
Josephine, affectionately known as Jo, was born on October 10, 1929, in Kansas City. She spent most of her life in the Kansas City area and attended Shawnee Mission High School.
Jo cherished spending time with her loved ones, playing games, solving puzzles, crafting, cooking, baking, reading, and attending her grandchildren's events. She was a devoted member of Merriam Bible Church, Olathe Bible Church, and Blue Valley Baptist Church.
In 1967, Jo and her husband, Rex, relocated to Spring Hill, KS, where they built a beautiful home on 20 acres, complete with horses, chickens, cows, geese, cats, and dogs. She enjoyed tending to her garden and fishing in their pond.
Jo is survived by her daughter Rexanne Stiles and son-in-law Darrel Stiles, daughter Joy Cunningham, grandchildren Erin and Mike Birge, Emily Stiles (Michael Whelan), Luke and Anna Cunningham, Lacey Cunningham, great-grandsons Alex and Dylan Birge, Canaan, Zadok and Ezra Rex Cunningham, and great-granddaughter Zion Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rex Green, parents Holland and Helen Frederick, and brother Richard Frederick.
The family extends their gratitude to Silvercrest at Deer Creek Senior Living for their exceptional care and support.
