Joseph "Dan" Sheffield, 72, of Olathe, KS passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 24, 2013. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society 1100 Pennsylvania Ave Kansas City, MO 64105.
Dan was born Aug 19, 1940 to Joe and Myra Nelle Sheffield in Arcadia, KS and moved to Olathe in 1965. He worked for Trans World Airlines for 33 years before retiring in 2001. His greatest enjoyment was attending his grandchildren's activities and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Carol of 51 years. His daughter Kim McEntee (Dan), son; Tim Sheffield (Lynne). Grandchildren; Carter and Cole McEntee and Taylor, Reagan and Jadyn Sheffield. He is also survived by his brother Mike Sheffield of Las Vegas, NV and some very special brother/sister in laws as well as many nieces and nephews.
