Joseph James Lemark

Joseph James LeMark, 23, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018. A visitation will be held from on Wednesday, May 23 from 6-8PM at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be said at 5:30PM. Mass will be at 10AM on May 24th at Church of the Ascension.

Joseph was born on February 16, 1995 in Shawnee Mission, KS to Elizabeth and Michael LeMark. He attended Olathe East High School before graduating from the University of Kansas in 2017. He was employed with Ryan Transportation.

Joe had a passion and love for the game of golf. He was a member at Canyon Farms Golf Club and played often. His life-long dream of beating his Dad came true on February 19th, 2017 when he beat him by two strokes. Joseph was a fun-loving, fiercely loyal person; loyal to his family, his friends, his Jayhawks, Chiefs and Royals. His charismatic personality allowed him to connect and create life-long friendships with everyone he came in contact with. His energy, laughter, positive attitude, and comic wit was contagious.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jen and Donald Canty, and his paternal grandfather James LeMark. He is survived by his parents Mike and Beth, his brother Sam LeMark, his sister Annie England and brother-in-law Chris England, his grandmother Antoinette Bonsignore LeMark, aunts and uncles Dennis and Eileen Canty, Karen and Donald Canty, Elizabeth Kerins, and cousins Caitlin and Jason Halpainy, Brennan and Kristi Canty, Bryan Canty, Zac and Alexis Canty, Sean and Ashley Canty, Mary Elizabeth Canty, Michael Kerins, and Jonathan Kerins.
