Joseph Henry French Jr., 86, of Olathe, KS passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Olathe Medical Center. Cremation.
Joseph "Joey" French was the beloved husband of Dianna French and father to Christina L. Miller. His best friends were his puppy and companion "AFFAB" and his six grandchildren. A veteran of WWII, 1Lt Joseph Henry French flew 35 missions over the European Theatre as pilot of his B-24 Liberator. After the WAR, he further served as a government lawyer for the Housing and Urban Development. Joeseph was a beloved member of the Olathe community, known for his endearing smile, humor, and zany wit. Most importantly, he was the best husband, father, grandfather, and companion that anyone could ask for. Private memorial services will be held, and by courtesy of the United States Air Force, his ashes will be spread over the English Channel. His final wish, Joe will reunite with the vast skies and endless stars...and will finally earn his own pair of wings.
