JOSEPH "JOE" HENRY HANCOCK, age 66, passed away October 2, 2011 in Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to City Union Mission, 1100 E 11th St, Kansas City, MO 64106 or to Catholic Charities, 333 E. Poplar, Olathe, KS 66061.
Joe was born October 2, 1945 in Wichita, KS to Richard and Dema Hancock. He was the owner and operator of "B" Street Designs Cosmetology Schools in Overland Park, Topeka, Manhattan, Wichita and Lawrence. Joe was also the previous owner of Superior School of Hairstyling in Olathe, KS.
Surviving are his wife, Carol, his sons Joe Hancock, II, Richard Paul (Tara) Hancock, Mark (Rachel) Hancock, Joshua Whiteside, and Todd Hurlburt, his sister Mary K. (Jim) Mitchell, brothers Frank (Ludwina) Hancock and Bill (Kathy) Hancock, his step-father Paul Mahoney, and many nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
