Jonathan "Jon" Fischbach, 21 of Olathe, KS passed away tragically Saturday September 7th, 2013. He was born in Baraboo, WI on April 21st, 1992 to Bruce and Maribeth (Krueger) Fischbach. He graduated from Olathe East High School and went to Pittsburg State University. Jonathan was employed as a Security Guard at Securitas.
Jonathan was an avid hunter and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. He was a loving son, brother and was a very proud uncle. Those who knew Jonathan knew what amazing person he was willing to do anything for anyone. He was kind and tender soul as one of his uncles so aptly described him. He will be missed terribly.
He was a member of the I.B.M. (I Burnt Mine) BBQ team. Jonathan was also a proud and active Charter Member of the Men's Auxiliary of VFW Post 7397 Lenexa. He was active member of Abdallah Shriners in Overland Park, KS and was a member of the ""500's", Yoshi and tASSc (The Abdallah Social Society). His favorite event in the world was the Abdallah Shrine Rodeo. He belonged to Ben Hur Masonic Lodge 322 in Kansas City, KS and The Sons of the American Legion Post 407 in Lenexa, KS as well.
Jonathan is survived by his parents Bruce and Maribeth Fischbach, a sister Justina (Josh) Donaldson and a nephew and niece, Joseph and Becky Donaldson. He is also survived by a grandmother Colleen Fischbach of Waterford, WI as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his fiancée Lauren McDaniel whom the family would ask for extra special prayers and blessings. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Romayne Krueger and Richard Fischbach.
The memorial service will be officiated by Chaplain (Reverend) Jim Jenkins and a Masonic funeral will be by PGM Robert Tomlinson at Abdallah Shrine Center, 5300 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS. Immediately following the service friends and family are invited to celebrate his life and legacy at VFW Post 7397, 9550 Pflumm Road, Lenexa, KS 66215.
