Jonathan Austin Cutler, 24, of Overland Park, passed away on October 6, 2017 surrounded by his family at Kansas City Hospice House.

J. Austin Cutler was born October 1, 1993 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah, to Jonathan and Angila (Hales) Cutler. Austin then spent the next few years in and out of Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kansas in 2015.

In 1999, Austin and his family moved to Overland Park, Kansas from Draper, Utah. Austin loved his teachers and friends at school. He attended Cottonwood Point Elementary School, Blue Valley Middle School, Blue Valley West & North High School (LIFT program) and Blue Valley School District - Access House. Austin enjoyed music, matching games, reading books, playing on the playground and swimming. He loved laughter, the sound of crowds clapping at sporting events or talk shows, old Johnny Carson, Jimmy Stewart, Brad Paisley and one of his favorite things was to watch movies. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family. And also especially his many friends, The Wiggles, Teletubbies, Dora the Explorer, Barney the Dinosaur and his constant companion "Puppy". His constant smile will be missed by all that crossed his path.

Survivors include parents, Jonathan and Angila (Hales) Cutler of Overland Park, Kansas. Siblings, Kole (18), Kaylee (18), and Dylan (12). Maternal grand-parents, David Hales, of Oahu, Hawaii and Sandra Gillman of South Jordan, Utah; Paternal grand-parents, Earl and Hazel Cutler of Salt Lake City, Utah.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the many personal care providers, student mentors, para professionals, music therapist, special education teachers, bus drivers, Blue Valley School District staff, SPED advisory council, administration and Blue Valley School Board of Education, Johnson County Developmental Supports, Friends of JCDS, and Johnson County Board of County Commissioners. Dr Nicole Hawkinson and staff at Pediatric Dental Specialist; Dr John Greenwood at College Pointe Medical Plaza for years of the highest level of service and unconditional care. And the many doctors, nurses and staff of the St Luke's South Hospital - Intensive Care Unit, and the staff of Kansas City Hospice House. Members and leadership of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Indian Creek Ward and Lenexa Kansas Stake. The value of your collective acts are immeasurable.

Viewing will be offered on Thursday, October 12 from 6:00-7:00pm followed by visitation from 7:00-8:30 pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob, Olathe. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017, 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 21515 W. 101st St, Lenexa, KS 66220. Burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
