Johnny Wayne Hunt, 57, of Paola, Kansas passed away peacefully in his home with family and friends by his side, Saturday, April 17, 2021
He was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 2, 1963 to John Thomas (J.T.) and Nellie Raydean Hunt (Parnell).
Johnny later moved to Kansas with his three children, Kammeron, Josh, and Kelsi. He met his wife, Lori, of 23 years with whom they had a daughter, Ashley.
Together, Johnny and his wife grew a successful tow company, Allied Towing in Olathe, Kansas.
Johnny was a funny, compassionate, and caring man who would lend a hand to anyone. He made many friends over the years and was looking forward to retiring with his wife at their Beaver Lake home.
Johnny loved to fish, boat, hunt, travel, spend time in the outdoors, and watch NASCAR races. He was also an avid fan of his Dallas Cowboys and Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Lori Hunt (Anderson); four children: Kammeron Stein (Brent), Kelsi, Josh, and Ashley Hunt; three grandchildren: Jordan, Jackson, and Kayleigh Stein; two siblings: Vickie and Kenneth Hunt (Sandy), one niece: Alessa Raydean French; four nephews: Douglas, Charles, Jeremiah, and Jacob; and many beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas (J.T.) and Nellie Raydean Hunt and older brother, Jackie Lee (J.L.) Hunt.
Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home located at 14275 South Blackbob Road, Olathe, Kansas 66063. All are welcome to attend the graveside service that will also be held on Wednesday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Olathe Memorial Cemetery, 738 N. Chestnut, Olathe, KS. 66061
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Stroke Foundation.
