John Walton
John S. Walton, Jr., 66, of Topeka, KS passed away at his home Tuesday, February 20, 2007. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City.
John was born April 3, 1940 in San Antonio, TX to John and Alletta Walton and was raised in Olathe, Kansas. Following his graduation from Olathe High School in 1958, he attended Baker University and graduated with a degree in music. He then went on to teach music at several Kansas High Schools including, Peabody, Kansas. He became an insurance agent and later began his own company Capitol City Insurance in Topeka, KS.
He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Carole, a daughter; Kimberly C. Walton, son; Donald W. Walton, and father; John S. Walton, Sr.
He is survived by his daughters; Debbie (Michael) Horn of Olathe, KS, and Jennifer (Chris) Young of Peabody, KS, mother; Alletta H. Walton-Keenan of Mesa, AZ, sister; Sharron (Lew) Crawford of Mesa, AZ, grandchildren; John Walton, Jacob & Matthew Horn, Olathe, KS, Mackenzie, Bryant, Philip, and Alex Young of Peabody, KS.
