John Tader

John Allen Tader was born in Marion North Dakota on July 9, 1928 and went to be with the Lord in Kansas City on September 2, 2010. As an adult he was a resident of Minneapolis Minnesota, St. Louis, Missouri and Olathe Kansas.

John was a great man of prayer. He was a craftsman in his work. He had a deep love of adventure. He especially loved his family and his church. He was active in ministry through Prison Fellowship, a longtime member of the Gideon's International and of College Church of the Nazarene.

John was preceded in death by parents Walter and Lora Toedter, Brother Robert Toedter, Sister Barbara Toedter, and son Donald. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Dee Tader and by his siblings: Lois Toedter, Margaret Hewitt, Jim Tader, David Tader (Gracia), Phillip Toedter (Sharon), Joy Snyder (Wayne), Lora Mae Toedter, and Daniel Toedter (Lynda). By his children: Virginia Phillips, Sandie Montgomery, Barbara Gordon, Nancy Schweitzer (Russell), John Tader (Laura), Cheryl Longley (Steve) and Brian Tader. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with another on the way.

A visitation will be held at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob, Olathe, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 4, followed by funeral services at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan, Olathe, on Sunday, September 5 at 3:00 pm where the family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. Interment, Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Donations suggested to College Church of the Nazarene and Gideon's International.
