John Fredrick Stutzer, 83, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024. He was born on March 9, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to Hugo and Olive (Brislin) Stutzer.
John grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and lived next door to Suzie Stutzer, the person who would one day become his wife for 58 years. He went to The University of Kansas and earned a degree in engineering, preparing him to work many years at the FAA in Olathe. He enjoyed gardening, drawing, watching the Royals, dispensing witty comments, and walking his beloved rescue dogs.
John is survived by his loving wife, Suzie Stutzer, child, AJ Stutzer, and brothers, Bill Stutzer and Jim Stutzer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Olive Stutzer, and father, Hugo Stutzer.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00am on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Penwell-Gabel's Olathe Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am with burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Lawrence Humane Society.
