John Lucas

John A. Lucas, 59, of Overland Park, KS, passed away, Thursday, January 18, 2007 in Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests masses to the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and/or Kansas City Hospice House.

John was born July 1, 1947 in Long Prairie, MN, raised in Browerville, MN, and lived in Johnson County, Kansas since 1986. He served in the US Army. He was Manager of Public Safety for Sprint having worked for them for 36 years.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and it's Knight's of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Eli & Pauline (Pollok) Lucas, brothers; Wilfred, Clarion (Buck), and Romain Lucas.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years; Rosann Lucas, children; Kyle & wife Amber, Kevin & wife Nicolle Lucas, Stephanie & husband Rob Wagner, siblings; Phyllis & husband Ralph Van Kempen, Mary Lou & husband Charles Wber, Pauline (Dolly) & husband Gordon Schmidt, Eli & wife Pepper Lucas, Jr., Sylvester Lucas, Jim & wife Michelle Lucas, Dorothy & husband Rick Schindler, Walter & wife Kathy Lucas, Edwin & wife Mari Lucas, Donn & husband Tom Boyette, grandchildren; Nathan, Kira, Emily, Taylor & Sierra Lucas.
