John was born January 3, 1964, in Kansas City, Kansas, graduated from Shawnee-Mission West, Overland Park, KS in 1982, joined the Marines, retired from the California National Guard and was currently employed by Raytheon at Ft. Riley, KS.
He is survived by his children Rebecca of Baton Rouge, LA, John Jacob of Middleburg, FL and Caleb of Chapman, KS. His mother Ileene (Don) Maxwell,
his father, Troy (Lou) Kaneaster, sister Mary Beth (Chuck) Peters, Teresa (Bill) Mentzer, nieces and nephews. And his best friend Andra Thurlow of Abilene, KS and her children, Amanda and Galen.
