John Otha Floyd, 69, of Olathe, passed away on December 11, 2019 at his home.
He was born on September 8, 1950 to Alvis and Dorothy (Jones) Floyd at Kansas City, MO.
John worked as a Computer Programmer for Marley Cooling Technologies, retiring in 2013.
On July 21st, 1980, he married Karen Ann Greene, and they made their home in Shawnee Mission, KS, finally settling in Olathe, KS.
He was a musician, garage karaoke host, avid bowler, and car enthusiast. He enjoyed camping and swimming in Party Cove at The Lake of the Ozarks. He spent many evenings hanging with his Hayward's BBQ family and attended Wednesday night "services" with his good buddy, Jim.
John is survived by his loving daughter, Heather Fields, son Michael McDonald, grand-daughter Tori, grand-daughter Anna, and sister Barbara Finke.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Karen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1:30pm, with visitation and reception to follow.
