John D. Arterburn, Sr., 71, Olathe, KS, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Olathe Medical Center. The family suggests contributions to Hospice of Olathe Medical Center and/or Animal Haven.
John was born June 1, 1937 in Kansas City, Kansas, a life time area resident who graduated from Wyandotte High School. He married his high school sweetheart Judy October 5, 1956 who preceded him in death in 2001. John was a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors, working in the industry for more than 35 years.
He is survived by three children; John (Diane) Arterburn of Denton, Texas, Joe Arterburn of Prairie Village, Kansas, and Jeanne DuPont of Olathe; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
