John R. Brassfield, 81, passed away February 25, 2017. John was born July 11, 1935 and lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. A graduate of the University of New Mexico, John was an electrical engineer. He enjoyed hiking and skiing in the mountains with his family.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen; daughter Shauna Gregory (Bob); sons Michael Brassfield (Kate) and Brian Brassfield (Misty). Grandchildren are Sarah Stearns, Will Gregory, Mason Brassfield, Annabelle Brassfield and Madeleine Brassfield. A private celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Great Plains SCPA or Children's Mercy Hospital of Kansas City.
