JOHN ALBERT BLITGEN
Passed to life in the Spirit on October 1, 2005. Visitation will be held at 6:00p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, at First Christian Church, 200 E. Loula, Olathe, KS, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00p.m. Interment, Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to the First Christian Church Elevator Fund.
Born May 24, 1938 in Bellevue, Iowa to John and Mildred Blitgen. He retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of service to our country. He was also employed by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pat Blitgen, of Olathe, KS, son John Blitgen, daughters Deborah Weimerskirk and Susan O'Keefe, all of Olathe, his sister, Sister Carol Blitgen BVM of Dubuque, IA, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael in 1994.
