John Dennis Arterburn Jr.

John Dennis Arterburn Jr., age 60, passed away on August 14th in Denton, TX. He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on the 17th day of February 1960. He was a 1978 graduate of Olathe High and a dedicated Elevator Engineer of 41 years. He married Diane Arterburn (Harshman) on the 19th of May 1979. John was a charismatic, humorous, and loving son, brother, husband, and father.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Judith Ann Cooke and John Dennis Arterburn Sr., his sister Jeanne Ruth DuPont.
He is survived in death by his wife, Diane, his brother, Joseph D. Arterburn, his children Jennifer Brelsford (Jake Brelsford) and Steven Arterburn. He had three grandchildren: Olivia Khlor, Isaiah Boll, and Elizabeth Brelsford.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe, KS. A graveside service will take place at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens following the visitation at 11:30AM.
