Joe S. Megyeri, 72 of Olathe, KS passed away Sunday October 16, 2011 at home. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City.
Joe was born April 10, 1939 in Papa, Hungary. He worked in heavy construction for most of his life and worked at the glass plant in Spring Hill, KS. He was still employed by Price Chopper.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Johanna Megyeri, step daughter Katy McCourt of Shawnee, KS, step son Jimmy McCourt of Olathe and granddaughter Halle McCourt of Olathe. He is also survived by 3 sons Joey, Kevin, and Steve Megyeri, and 1 daughter Dina McKinney-Megyeri, 11 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, from a previous marriage.
