JoAnne "Jojo" Turley, 75, of Olathe passed away June 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family and was reunited in heaven with her son Stephen, her brother Stephen, her grandmother Mary, and her parents.
She was born on July 21, 1943, to Harvey Joseph and Ethil Lou Evans in Kansas City, Missouri. She resided in Johnson County for the remainder of her life.
JoAnne graduated from Westport High School in 1961, where she met the love of her life, Tom Turley, who she was married to for 57 years. Together they raised two beautiful children and were later blessed with five amazing grandchildren.
Over the years, JoAnne held many positions, from bookkeeping for her husband's company Turley Brothers Masonry to being one of the top carpet salespersons for Sears & Roebuck. In her later years, she owned a successful souvenir business in correlation with Midwest Sports Productions as well as attended over 30 USSSA national conventions. She was always enthusiastic about her work but loved her role as wife and mother most of all.
Jokingly known as the Saint of Lost or Broken things, no one was in need for long after crossing Jojo's path. She always went out of her way to provide love and care to anyone in need. She made a difference in a multitude of lives, including family, friends, animals, and strangers.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, daughter, Shelly, 5 grandchildren, Jaimie, Dawson and his wife Kelly, Jake, Landon, and Lane, daughter-in-law, Suzanne, and niece, Susan.
Flowers are welcome; memorial contributions may be made to a pet rescue of your choice.
