JoAnn L. Estebo of Olathe, passed away on August 23, 2021 after a brief illness, at the age of 86.
She was born to Otis and Alice Anderson in East Chain, Minnesota and was raised on the family farm in Austin, MN until she married Maynard Estebo on November 7, 1953. She was a retired real estate agent and business owner. She was active in several prayer organizations including Aglow where she was recognized for her leadership. She and her husband Phillip also had a great heart for missions and service, and had, on a number of occasions, invited people in need to come and stay with them to help them through their times of trial. A genuine prayer warrior, her prayers and intercession certainly had the attention of our Lord.
She was preceded in death by her husband Maynard who passed on November 7, 1999. She is survived by her husband Phillip Walsh who she married on August 21, 2010 and his family. She is also survived by her brother Marlowe Anderson and his wife Sheri and family, and her sister Marlys Charlson and her husband Waldron and family. She is also survived by her daughter Char MacCallum and Char's husband Bev MacCallum, grandchildren Michelle MacCallum and great grandchildren Rhianna and Aidan, grandchild Scott MacCallum and his wife Stephanie, and their children, Ashlynne and Hunter. Also surviving are a foster son, Michael Crace, of Saint Paul MN, his daughter Sheri Crace, and her children, Alexus, Trayana, Kiyara, and Mychael.
Her family was the joy of her life. Sunday dinners were a regular treat for all, usually after church, unless the Chiefs were playing; then moved to dinner time. Regardless of the time, the meal was always great home cooking, and followed by table games; she was very competitive and won – A LOT ! During the week, each of the great grandchildren also had a special day and time where they had one-on-one Grammy time to learn about gardening, cooking, and even sewing.
JoAnn, Wife, Mom, Grandma, Grammy, thank you for sharing your life with us, we love you and you will be so missed… and Lord, thank you for giving her to us; she is in your care now.
