Joan M. Bell, age 79, passed away October 15, 2016 at Evergreen Community of Johnson County.
She was born on January 22, 1937 to Monroe and Alice (Montgomery) Lewis at Pleasanton, KS.
Joan worked as a homemaker for many years, and on November 3, 1988, she was married to Robert Bell..
They made their home in Olathe, KS.
Joan enjoyed quilting, puzzles, and her foster children.
Surviving are her loving husband, Robert, her daughter, Joyce McCullough, daughter, Debra Furbee, son, Garold E. Baker, daughter, Mary Alice Putzstuck, and son, Michael Alan Baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:30pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, with visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
