Jo Ann Brumley

Jo Ann Brumley, 90, of Olathe, passed away on April 2, 2024 at Olathe Medical Center.

She was born on February 4, 1934 to Earl and Loretta (Bunce) Reber in Bonita, KS.

Jo started her work career at Southwestern Bell and continued her work at AT&T where she worked her way up the ladder of Management. Jo Ann maintained life long relationships and friendships with many of the people she worked with, went to High school with as well as new friends and neighbors she met.

Jo lived in Olathe, Kansas.

She was a member of American legion Aux., Unit 153 - Lifetime Member.

Jo is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Jo Matthews of Olathe, her son in law, Michael Matthews of Olathe, granddaughters, Jamie Rae McCarthy and Jenna Rae Zuercher, grandson-in law, Trent Zuercher, Grandson,Thomas Michael Matthews and his wife Christine Matthews.

Jo Ann had 9 great-grand children she thought the world of and would boast about how proud she was to anyone who would listen. She was so proud of her family. Proud of them not just because they were hers, but she spoke of them fondly with so much adoration and joy. Her great-grandchildren loved her dearly.

Jo was preceded in death by her dear mother and father, and her beloved siblings Thelma, Juanita, and Bud .

Visitation will be held Sunday April 7, 2024 at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Olathe, Kansas.

Funeral Interment will be held immediately following the visitation at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
