Jill Marie Eaton, 51, died suddenly on April 26, 2021. Jill was born September 21, 1969 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She lived in Johnson County Kansas all of her life, graduating from Shawnee Mission East in 1989. She earned an Associates degree in Managing and Marketing from Johnson County Community College in 1993.
Jill worked as a human resources records specialist for several companies in the Kansas City area over the course of her career. Jill was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, and her faith was extremely important to her. Jill was known for her gentle heart and being someone who cared deeply about her friends and family. She was well-loved as "Aunt Jill" not only by her own nieces and nephews but also by the children of her close friends. Jill was always up to go on an adventure with her Bunco group: restaurants, concerts, Theater in the Park, Sunflower patches, and even a St Patrick's Day Run. She enjoyed trips to Marco Island and Branson but she loved most of all spending time with her best friends, Alisa Chrisjohn and Julie Mortensen and their families, and coming home to her two cats, Lucky and Stormy.
Jill was preceded in death by her father, William Carlyle Eaton and is survived by her mother, Janet Lee Eaton; her brother Mark William Eaton, his wife Penny, and their son Jackson; her sister Lynne Christine Zeman, husband Michael, and children Rachel, Hannah, Daniel, Joshua, and Jacob. A memorial service will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS 66212 on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 3:00 pm. A reception will follow.
The family welcomes donations to WaysideWaifs.org as an expression of sympathy.
