Jerry L. Smith, 65, of Olathe, KS passed away Friday March 8, 2013 at the Kansas City Hospice House. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice House or American Cancer Society.
Jerry was born in Parsons, KS to Merle and Donna Smith and raised in Erie, KS. He married Sandra "Susie" Shipman Nov 8, 1974 in Emporia, KS. Jerry worked for the BNSF Railroad before retiring in 2007 and enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Susie, his children Christy (Pat) Dore, Steve (Bekka) Smith, and Scott (Erin) Smith. Grandchildren Breanna and Emily Dore, Tyler and Elin Smith and Bryson Smith, and numerous other relatives.
