Jerry Lee Ham Ii

Jerry Lee Ham II, 42 of Gardner Kansas, went home to be with his Savior on September 21st, 2018 after a 6 1/2 year battle with Colon Cancer. He is the son of Jerry Lee and Janice Ham and was born in Martinsville, Indiana on December 9th 1975.

Jerry graduated from Martinsville High School in 1994 and went on to serve in the United State Navy as an Air Traffic Controller, achieving the rank of First Class Petty Officer before ending his service of 8 years in 2003 with an Honorable Discharge. Jerry continued in government service as a civilian Air Traffic Controller at the Kansas City Air Route Traffic Control Center in Olathe, Kansas. Jerry ascended in management, having become a Supervisor, an Operations Manager and ending his service as a Quality Control Manager.

Jerry leaves behind his wife of 17 years, Mia Ham and his three children: Ashleigh, Ryanne and Jerry Lee Ham III. He also leaves behind his parents Jerry and Janice Ham, his sister Jennifer and her husband Ed Land, his nephews Peyton and Logan, and his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jerry is loved by many and is remembered as not only a loving and dedicated husband and father, but also a trusted friend and co-worker. He was honest and never turned away anyone who needed his help, confidence or advice. Jerry's faith and strength of character guided every aspect of his life even into the end of his journey, he was loyal and trusted and will be forever missed by those who knew him and those who only knew of him.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, September 28, 2018, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday at Fellowship Bible Church in Gardner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Fellowship Bible Church, 16900 S Waverly Rd, Gardner, KS 66030.
