JENNIFER LYNN CARRIER
Jennifer Lynn Carrier, affectionately known as Jen, passed at home in Olathe, KS, on March 20, 2009, at the age of 59. Jen was born Jan. 31, 1950, in Wichita, KS. Her parents, who preceded her in death, were Jack and Virginia Wagonseller.
Because of her father's work, she grew up in Missouri in West Plains, Hannibal, Popular Bluff, and graduated high school in Independence, KS. Jennifer married Gary Carrier on April 7, 1969. Their union produced two sons, Scott and his wife Kathy and their two daughters Claudia and Melanie; and Jeff and his wife Jill and their two children Jack and Lillie. Extended family includes Robert and Elaine Orrell and their daughters Janis and Janet.
Jen was a bridge club owner and director as well as a lifetime goodwill ambassador in the ACBL. Jen was active in Wichita in the Presbyterian Church as a women's leader. It was there that she enjoyed being in Bible Study Fellowship. Jen enjoyed fishing, reading, crafting, scrapbooking, and duplicate bridge. At the bridge table, all knew she was a force with which to contend. She voiced only one disappointment; that she wished to be here for the birth of her newest granddaughter in May.
To those who knew her, she was a good friend. Jennifer always made those near to her feel good about themselves. Her presence will be greatly missed by family and friends.
