JEANNE TAYLOR STEPHENSON
Born March 2, 1923, to Albert and Emma Olson in Harvey, Illinois, went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2005 in Lenexa, Kansas after an heroic battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 11:00a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 119th and State Line Road, Kansas City, MO with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Nazarene Theological Seminary in the name of Willard H. Taylor, Chair in Biblical Studies, 1700 East Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64131.
She was a graduate of Olivet Nazarene College in Bourbonnais, Illinois, and received her Masters Degree in Education from Webster College in Kansas City, Missouri. Jeanne was an educator in the public school systems for more than twenty-five years.
She is survived by her sons Doug Taylor, and Brian Taylor, grandchildren Courtney, Matt, Chris, David and Paige, a sister-in-law Lorraine Ottinger. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willard Taylor in August of 1981, and Banner Stephenson in September of 2002.
Through her faith in Jesus, her risen Lord, she is victorious over death.
