Jean Carol Gaston, 78, of Gardner, KS passed away on March 22, 2013 at home under loving hospice care. Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church of Gardner 324 E. Shawnee Gardner, KS 66030 or Hospice of Olathe Medical Center 20375 W. 151st Street Suite #351 Olathe, KS 66061.
Jean was born June 17, 1934, to Lloyd and Hazel Dyer in Chicago, IL. She married her loving husband, Larry Gaston, on September 28, 1952 in Wichita, KS. They were married 60 years. Since 1996 Jean and Larry have spent their winters in Mission, Texas.
Jean is survived by and will be deeply missed by husband, Larry; two sons Lynn Gaston and his wife Jane, Mark and his wife Deanna; her grandchildren Jamie, Kyle, and Gary; five great grandchildren; her sister Lloyda Clark and husband Jerry in Hutchinson, KS.
Jean was first lady of Abdallah Shrine Center in 1995 when her husband was Potentate of the Shrine. She spent many years working to support the Shrine Hospitals for Children.
