Jason Walker

Jason Michael Walker, age 28, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away October 25, 2013. The husband of Steffany and the son of Jeffrey and Carol Walker, Jason was born May 20, 1985. A nearly lifelong attender of Berean Bible Church, Jason gave his life to Jesus at age 7. Beginning in kindergarten, Jason was enrolled in Berean Christian School of Olathe, Kansas, graduating in 2004. His first jobs included lawn mowing and Prairie Life Fitness Center. After high school, Jason spent some time serving the Lord with Christian Outreach International (COI), traveling to Florida, Mexico, and the Bahamas before returning to Olathe to begin a career and education.

After marrying Steffany Graves of St. Joseph, MO, on May 7, 2011, Jason continued his work in the insurance industry while pursuing and achieving his goal of working for the Federal Aviation Administration. Following their marriage, Jason and Steffany made Lenexa Baptist Church their church home. He loved soccer, pizza, movies, computers, photography, and video games.

Survivors include his wife, Steffany Walker; parents, Jeffrey and Carol Walker; sister, Melody Walker; grandparents Jim and Shirley Walker of Lincoln, NE; and grandmother Lucile Carter of Augusta, KS. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willard Carter.
