It is difficult to say goodbye to someone we love and cherish so much. Jason Paul Schilder, 46, of Lenexa, passed away on March 22, 2023.
He was born on September 25, 1976 to Roger Schilder and Connie (Butler) Schilder in Shawnee, KS. He was a happy and adventurous young boy. That love for adventure spilled into adulthood for Jason as he was always keeping himself busy with different hobbies and never turned down an opportunity to join friends or family for any activity. He had a love for anything outdoors and enjoyed being active. You could regularly find him on the lake hydrofoiling with his family and friends, on hunting trips with his dad, uncles and cousins, skiing in the mountains or hosting get-togethers and events.
Jason enjoyed a career as a systems engineer until the time of his death. He was self-taught and obtained various certifications throughout his career.
He was a member of Blue Valley Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and Bible study each week. Jason also volunteered weekly at Uplift Organization to deliver food to the homeless and help them in any way he could. Jason's passion was his faith and he worked to serve God in his everyday life.
Jason is survived by his parents, his sisters, Cherie Schilder, Stacie Schilder, half-sister, Courtney Long, his grandmother, Wanda Reno, and countless uncles, aunts and cousins who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Butler, grandmother, Jane Butler, grandfather, Vern Schilder, and his aunt, Ruth Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to an organization Jason felt passionately about: Donate – Uplift Organization Inc..
A service will be held for Jason at Blue Valley Baptist Church Antioch Campus on April 22, 2023 at 11am with a Celebration of Life immediately following in the church's Fellowship Hall.
