Jason Philippe Green

Jason Philippe Green, 58, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. He was born on April 21, 1966 in Kansas City to Jeffrey and Arlette (Vaillancourt) Green. He spent his life in the Kansas City area – graduating from Pembroke Hill High School and attending the University of Kansas. He met his wife, Meda, where they both worked at Reece and Nichols, and raised their son, Jordan, in Olathe. He was respected and loved in his career as a Senior Storage Engineer for Peraton, a contractor for the Department of Defense.

Jason enjoyed cooking, discovering new restaurants, and traveling. He could always be found planning the next night out or next vacation so that he could spend time with those he loved. He was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and University of Kansas Jayhawks. He loved his cats, Ziggy and Mia. Most of all, he was dedicated to his family and his faith in his Savior Jesus Christ, which blessed him and those around him in all ways.

He loved to laugh at the smallest things, and his intelligence and thoughtfulness were appreciated by many.

Jason is survived by his wife, Meda Green, mom, Arlette Green, son, Jordan Green, and brother, Aris Green. It is their faith in Jason’s redemption and peace through the promise of Christ that brings them joy in his passing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey Green.

His celebration of life service will be held at his home church, Colonial Presbyterian Church at 135th Street and Quivira, on April 23, 2025 at 4:00 PM.

The family requests that donations in Jason’s memory be made to the Colonial Presbyterian Church’s “Bless Our City” Mission Offering, which supports organizations addressing critical needs such as homelessness and foster care in the Kansas City metro.
