Jason Deaton, 59, of Gardner, passed away on October 28, 2024 at KU Medical Center.
He was born on June 24, 1965 to Harold and Peggy (Barnes) Deaton at Olathe, KS.
Jason grew up in Gardner, KS. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1983, proceeded to go on to college at Washburn University where he got his undergrad and law degree.
In 1990 Jason started at the FBI academy and went on to work for the FBI for 25 years. Growing up, Jason was a member of the Jo-Co 4-H horse club. He also played a variety of sports including, baseball, wrestling and football. He had a passion for baseball and knack for making everyone laugh either with a joke or a story. Jason also loved watching his kids play sports, and coaching whenever the chance presented itself.
Jason is survived by his loving daughter, Marie E. Deaton, son, Daniel J. Deaton, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, Peg (Barnes) Deaton, father, Harold Keith Deaton.
Visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Olathe, Kansas. Funeral services will be held on November 8th. Visitation start at 10:00am and service starts at 11:00am.
Burial will take place at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe, KS.
