Janice Killion, 75, formerly of Salina, died on July 28, 2011 at KU Medical Center.
Mrs. Killion was born Janice O. Strubhart on March 25, 1936, in LaHarpe, Kansas.
She graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Secondary Education. She taught for many years in the Topeka and Salina schools, retiring in 2002.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Frances Cunningham Strubhart and Oliver E. Strubhart.
She married James C. Killion on September 6, 1957, in Chanute, Kansas. He currently resides in Olathe, Kansas.
Other survivors include a son, Mike Killion and wife Maura of Topeka; a daughter, Mindy Killion of Olathe, and four grandchildren; Claire Clarke (Derrick) of Gainesville, Florida, Iain and Nina Killion of Topeka, and Chase Killion of Olathe.
A private family service is planned for a later date in Olathe.
