Janet K. Simon

Janet K Simon, formerly known as Janet Sexton, passed away peacefully on December 11th, 2024, in Olathe, KS at the age of 75. Born in Junction City, KS on November 20th, 1949, Janet brightened the lives of those around her with her warmth and kindness. Janet lived a life filled with love and compassion. Her early years in Junction City were marked by a mother who made sure she went to church and nurtured her spirited nature and innate ability to bring people together. She carried the values instilled in her during those formative years throughout her life, embodying integrity, diligence, and a deep sense of empathy toward others. 

As an adult Janet made Olathe her home where she continued to establish bonds and foster connections within her church community. Her spirit resonated in the hearts of her friends and family and her ability to uplift those around her will be remembered fondly. Janet had a passion for nurturing relationships, expressed through loving children who needed homes. Janet opened her home and her heart to care for other people’s children. She also cared for members of her church who were sick or in prison and visited them. She was an example of Christ’s love to others.

Janet is survived by many who loved her deeply. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness, which will forever serve as an inspiration to all who had the privilege to share in her life.

As we reflect on Janet’s life, we cherish the moments that made her so special, her unwavering love, her generous spirit, and her delightful charm. Though she will be profoundly missed, her impact on the lives she touched will remain everlasting.
