JANELLE A. FARMER, age 71, passed away March 24, 2006 at her home in Olathe, KS. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 27, from 6:00-8:00p.m, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Blackbob Rd. Olathe, A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, March 28, at 1:00 p.m., also in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment, Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe. The family suggests memorials to the charity of your choice.
Janelle was born January 4, 1935 in Huron, South Dakota to Elmer and Ella Eschen. She married her husband of 51 years, Kenneth D. Farmer on October 23, 1954 in Pipestone, MN. The couple moved to Iowa in 1960 where she worked in the family bakery, eventually settling in the Olathe area in 1986 where they have lived since.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, her son Rodney (JoAnn) Farmer of Alpharetta, GA, and her grand-daughter, Abigail.
