Jane Hanly was born on December 26, 1921 to Ruth Millan Hanly and William Curran Hanly in St. Joseph, Missouri. She graduated from Wichita High School East in 1940, later attending Christian College in Columbia, Missouri.
When war was declared, Jane married her good friend Arthur Lyman Hyatt May 6, 1943, a Second Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp who was shot down over the Mediterranean Area in 1944. She took flying lessons and later married her flight instructor, Raymond Edison Parker of St. Louis, Missouri February 25th, 1947. They lived in Clayton, Missouri and later built their home in Webster Groves, Missouri where they raised their son, Philip.
Jane was active in Congregational Church of Webster Groves, in many school connected groups and her PEO sisterhood where she served as an officer. She later worked as a realtor in Webster Groves. She enjoyed traveling, flying, pontoon boating on Norfork Lake in Arkansas and especially cooking. One of her favorite trips was when she and Ray served as crew on a sailboat sailing around the Bahamas. Upon retiring, she and Ray moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas and lived at the lake where they enjoyed fishing, swimming and being with friends.
Jane is survived by her son, Philip Hanly Parker and daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Davis Parker of Overland Park, Kansas, her two grandsons and their wives, Matthew Hanly Parker and Christy Blackburn Parker of Aldie, Virginia, Mitchell David Parker and Jessica Marie Bjorgo Parker of Olathe, Kansas, three great-granddaughters, Caylee Morgan Parker, Emma McKenzie Parker, Nora Suzanne Parker, and great-grandson, Easton Ray Parker.
