JAMES T. BURNETT
James Thomas Burnett, 66, of Overland Park, Kan., died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at his home.
He was born Oct. 14, 1949 in Waterloo, Iowa, to William and Kathleen Arnold Burnett.
Jim was married to Kathy L. Page on Aug. 21, 1971. He is survived by his wife, many family members and friends.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, having special preparation in Commercial Art in November 1975 from the University of Central Missouri. In May 1989, he earned a Master of Arts, Studio Art, from the University of Missouri Kansas City. Jim was an educator, artist and historian.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Lake Creek United Methodist Church, Smithton United Methodist Church or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 AM and a memorial service at 11:30 AM on Jan. 9, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 304 South Moniteau, Sedalia, Mo.
