JAMES THOMAS BAILEY
James Thomas Bailey, age 83, passed away June 8, 2011, in Olathe, KS. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at Cedar Lake Village in the Capitol Room, 15325 S Lone Elm Rd., Olathe, KS 66061. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of James.
James was born April 24, 1927, in Deport, TX, to James and Lucy Bailey. After graduation, he served as a Medic for two years in the U.S. Navy, then joined the U.S. Air Force where he worked within the Finance/Accounting Departments. After twenty-seven years of service, he retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1975.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Haruko, his daughter Kei Surber of Overland Park, KS, and grand-daughter Mariko Burger of Olathe, his sisters Faye, Betty, Ruth and Nancy, and his brothers Donnie and Billy.
