James "Jim" Livingston, 84 of Olathe, KS passed away Wed. March 19th, 2014.
Jim was born May 29, 1929 in Leeton, MO to Forrest and Mary Livingston. As a teenager he worked at the overhaul base for TWA at the Municipal Airport where he enjoyed working on the Constellations. He then went on to serve in the Army Airborne from 1951-1953 and was proud to be a paratrooper who completed 29 jumps. He was active with his sons in the Boy Scouts. He worked as a Control Room Operator for the Board of Public Utilities at the Kaw Power Station in Kansas City, KS where he retired after 32 years of service. Jim was a former member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS and was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Olathe. In his retirement he enjoyed flying model airplanes, working on cars, gardening, woodworking, golf and spoiling his dogs as well as the neighbor's. In the past few years he enjoyed cruises with his family, especially Alaska.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Livingston.
He is survived by his wife of 60 1/2 Years Eva Janet Livingston ("the blonde girl that lived up the street"), sons; Mark, Duane and Keith Livingston. 3 granddaughters; Amber, Ashley and Alyssa and 1 grandson Mark.
