JAMES ARTHUR CUNNINGHAM
Passed away April 20, 2009, at his home in Shawnee, KS.
James was born April 22, 1938 in Danville, Ill to Virgil and Mary Elisabeth (Lumbrick) Cunningham. He was married to Beverly Jean Stanley on September 5, 1965. After graduating from Northwestern University and M.I.T., he was employed with Terracon Consulting Engineers for many years, retiring in 2000.
James was a Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Grace United Methodist Church, Clarinet Choir, Instruments of Grace, and the Olathe Civic Band.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly, and his daughters, Deborah Alane Cunningham and husband Michael Bull from Manlius, NY, and Denise Annette Beenk and her husband Eric Beenk and children Abbey Strong and Elliott Beenk of Grand Mound, IA, and his brothers William and Richard Cunningham of Florida. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Cunningham.
