Jackie A. Tibbetts, 81, passed away February 8, 2015, in Hutchinson, KS. Jackie was born December 9, 1933, in Peru, KS, to John D. and Stella Parman Morton. She grew up in Russell, KS. On February 10, 1952, Jackie married Norman S. Tibbetts. To this union five daughters were born.
Jackie was a devoted mother and wife. She was very involved with College Church of the Nazarene where she played the organ and worked in the nursery for many years. Throughout her time in Olathe, Jackie worked for Royal Tractor, Intracorp, Professional Rehab Management and Olathe Medical Center Hospice.
On April 4, 2003, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Norman. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Debbie Tibbetts, and sisters Charlene Bradford and Nadine McKenzie Caudle. Jackie is survived by her daughters Jan and husband Mark Holland of Huron, SD, Lori Balzer of Hays, KS, Lisa Tibbetts and partner Susan Scharsch of Olathe, KS, and Joni and husband Rick Blosser of Hutchinson, KS; her niece, Patti (who was like a daughter) and husband David DeFrance of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Tomi Tibbetts, Kristen Holland, Kendra Wines, Kim Cooke, Jon, Jackie, Julie, Jacob and Jeanie Balzer, Andrew and Samantha Scharsch, and Conner, Carly and Caley Blosser; nine great grandchildren; sister Jean Stone of Maryville, IL; numerous nieces and nephews, along with a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Wesley Towers for taking such good care of Jackie.
