Jack Chambers, Sr.

Jack C. Chambers, Age 77, passed away August 31, 2009 at home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 12:30 pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 15315 W 151st St Olathe, KS 66062-3066, followed by a Memorial Service to begin at 2:00 pm, also at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Westport United Methodist Neighbor-To-Neighbor Ministry, 500 W. 40th, Kansas City, MO 64171-0041, or to the church.
Jack was born September 4, 1931 in Omega, GA, to John and Merle Chambers. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. Jack and his wife, Nell, were long-time members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Nell, his children Karen (Joe) Yount, and Jake (Jen) Chambers, four grandchildren; J.J., Christina, Jack, and Nicholle, and his sister Rosa Lee Luke, of Brookfield, GA. Arrangements, Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe.
