Imogene Rheuark

IMOGENE "Jean" RHEUARK, age 87, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2012 surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Blackbob, Olathe, followed by a funeral mass on Thursday, March 15 at 10:00am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W. 143rd, Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Friends of St. Anthony, in care of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Jean was born December 15, 1924 in Springfield, MO. She married John "Jack" Rheuark on March 17, 1946 and together they made their home in the Kansas City area. She worked alongside her husband in their family owned business, and was a devoted mother to five children. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with her friends and family.
Surviving are her children; Mike (Merle) Rheuark, Kathy (Larry) Gast, Terri (Terry) Wells, Mary Rheuark, and David Rheuark, grandchildren Christopher, Megan, Marty, Patrick, Michael, Andy, Anthony, Beka, Vinnie, Erin and Jack, two great-grandchildren Niko and Rylie, nephew Paul Meyers, two nieces, Denise Yearta and Kim Burton, brother-in-law Bill Rheuark, and sister-in-law Shirley Rheuark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, in 2008, her parents, and her sister, Maxine Meyers.
Jean's family wishes to thank the caring staff of The Atriums for their joyful influence in her life. She will be deeply missed.
